Pasadena’s Melvin Daniels Jr. Charged with Marijuana Possession

A Pasadena man, Melvin Daniels Jr., 32, was arrested early June 3 after police discovered nearly six pounds of marijuana and close to $15,000 in cash inside his vehicle.

Police conducted a search of Daniels’ silver Tesla at about 12:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Royal Farms on the 2500 block of Mountain Road after observing suspected drug activity.

During the search, officers found suspected drug paraphernalia in plain view, prompting a full search. They recovered 5.75 pounds of suspected marijuana and $14,687 in cash.

Daniels was taken into custody and now faces charges related to the possession of marijuana.
