Parul Singh and Lover Arrested for Husband’s Murder in Udham Singh Nagar

A 30-year-old woman, Parul Singh, and her lover, Mohammad Raees Hussain (35), were arrested on Thursday for allegedly murdering her husband, Harish Kumar, in Udham Singh Nagar district.

According to police, Parul filed a missing person report for her husband on March 17, claiming he had been missing since March 15 from their home in Malli Deoria. However, later that same day, around 3 PM, Harish’s body was found near a peepal tree in a wheat field close to their residence.

On March 19, Harish’s brother, Shankar, filed an FIR against Parul under Section 103(1) (murder) of the BNS, mentioning the frequent quarrels between the couple. Based on a tip-off, police raided Parul’s house and arrested both her and her lover, Mohammad Raees Hussain. Shankar identified them, alleging their involvement in the murder.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime. Parul explained that daily abuse from her husband led her to conspire with Raees. On March 15, the two allegedly suffocated Harish with a pillow while Raees held him down, then disposed of his body in a nearby wheat field.
