The trio was tracked to a bus heading to Kolhapur, Maharashtra, and with the help of the Kolhapur Police, they were apprehended and brought back to Goa for questioning.

The arrests were made possible due to the effective use of Smart City cameras, which helped police trace the criminals’ movements. The three men were involved in four separate shop-breaking crimes in Panjim on the intervening night of April 9th and 10th.

Here is a breakdown of their criminal activities:

First Theft: The burglars targeted the “W for Woman” store at Ribeiro Building, Panjim, where they bent the shutter and toughened glass to steal Rs11,000.
