PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Police in Panama City have arrested Jasmine Williams and Aliyah Thomas in connection to a string of thefts involving firearms, jewelry, and other stolen property.
The investigation began on December 4, 2024, when officials from a package delivery service’s internal security division reported a theft of four firearms, valued at approximately $1,285. These firearms were meant to be delivered to a licensed firearms dealer but were stolen on November 20.
Following up on investigative leads, officers arrested Jasmine Williams for grand theft of firearms, forgery, and dealing in stolen property. Using digital forensics, police identified Aliyah Thomas, 24, as the buyer involved in the transaction. Investigators were able to link both women to additional stolen items.
The investigation revealed that Williams was the delivery driver for packages containing diamonds and jewelry worth about $135,500, which were meant for a local jewelry store but were never delivered. Instead, Williams allegedly stole and pawned items, including a guitar from a local music store. The guitar was identified after an employee spotted it at a pawn shop on December 19.
On January 15, authorities, with assistance from U.S. Marshal Services, located and arrested Williams for her involvement in the theft of the diamonds, jewelry, and guitar, along with additional charges related to dealing in stolen property.
