Panama City Man Arrested for Stealing Metal Parts from Boys & Girls Club

BAY COUNTY, FL – On January 30, 2025, the Panama City Police Department (PCPD) responded to the Boys & Girls Club at 3404 W. 19th Street after staff discovered five air conditioning units had been destroyed for their metal components.

The next day, staff reported that someone had returned overnight to steal more parts. On February 3, the suspect returned once again, but fled as officers arrived on the scene. However, officials said the suspect left behind crucial evidence that helped them identify him.

After further investigation, police identified Nicholas Bevilaque, a 46-year-old transient from Panama City, as the suspect. Police later found him at a gas station, where evidence directly linked him to the crime. Investigators also confirmed that Bevilaque had sold the stolen parts to a local recycling company.

Bevilaque was arrested and charged with burglary, criminal mischief, dealing in stolen property, and grand theft. The investigation is ongoing.
