The Osun State Command of the Amotekun Corps announced the arrest of Olalekan Mashood, suspected of livestock theft in Kuta town. During a parade of various suspects in Osogbo, Commander Dr. Isaac Omoyele revealed that Mashood was caught fleeing with two sheep believed to be stolen.

On September 22, 2024, operatives ambushed a bush path in Kuta based on credible intelligence and apprehended Mashood, who confessed to being a serial goat thief in the Iwo area.

Alongside Mashood, a fake bank manager, Taiwo Badro, was also paraded. Badro, arrested on October 19, was accused of defrauding individuals, including one victim who lost N4.5 million in Lagos before relocating to Osun.

Commander Omoyele assured the public of the Corps’ commitment to collaborating with other security agencies to combat crime in Osun, stating that all suspects would be handed over for further investigation and prosecution.
