Opelousas Man Arrested with Nearly $150K in Illegal Drugs

OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) — A 64-year-old Opelousas man, Henry Comeaux, has been arrested after law enforcement uncovered nearly $150,000 worth of illegal drugs at his home.

Comeaux is facing multiple charges, including possession with intent to distribute cocaine, crack cocaine, Adderall, Oxycodone, Xanax, Hydrocodone, and Diazepam. He also faces possession of drug paraphernalia and two charges of possessing firearms in the presence of drugs.

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives carried out the search on Thursday, after obtaining a warrant to search Comeaux’s residence on Mary Ann St. in Opelousas.

Authorities found the following illegal substances:

1.338 kilograms of cocaine (street value $133,800)
16.5 grams of crack cocaine (street value $1,600)
181 tablets of Oxycodone (street value $3,620)
211 tablets of Hydrocodone (street value $2,110)
314 tablets of Adderall (street value $3,140)
81.5 tablets of Xanax (street value $163)
2 tablets of Diazepam (street value $400)
Details of Comeaux’s bond have not been released, and authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing, with the possibility of further arrests.
