In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Ongole police arrested 12 individuals involved in the illegal sale of ganja on Monday. The authorities seized 4 kg of ganja, valued at approximately Rs20,000, along with Rs10,000 in cash from the suspects’ possession.

Some of the accused are from Odisha, while others hail from the surrounding villages of Ongole.
The police have intensified their efforts to curb the growing menace of drug smuggling in the region and are continuing investigations to trace further links to the network. The authorities have promised strict legal actions against the culprits involved in the illegal trade.
