SARPY COUNTY, Neb. — Camron Rogers, a 25-year-old Omaha man, has been sentenced to 20 to 22 years in prison for the manslaughter of Kearney resident Patrick Weber. He was convicted of manslaughter and the concealment of Weber’s body. These charges were part of a plea deal that saw other serious charges, including first-degree murder, dismissed.
The case stemmed from the discovery of human remains on March 20, 2023, in Omaha. The remains were identified as Weber’s. Weber had last been seen on March 1, 2023, and his car, a blue 1996 Buick Lesabre, was found in a Bellevue apartment complex on March 6. Investigators found evidence linking Rogers to the case through Weber’s bank and social media transactions.
Rogers was arrested on April 13, 2023, when authorities executed a search warrant at his apartment, finding Weber’s car, along with other evidence including Weber’s phone and credit cards, and a small amount of meth.
