OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Oklahoma State star running back Ollie Gordon II was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of DUI after being pulled over for speeding on Interstate 35, south of Oklahoma City.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), Gordon was driving 82 mph in a 65-mph zone and was swerving through traffic when a trooper initiated the stop. A probable cause affidavit states that the officer spotted a half-full bottle of vodka and a half-full bottle of tequila in Gordon’s vehicle.
At the jail, Gordon’s blood alcohol content (BAC) measured .11 and .10, both above the legal limit of .08 in Oklahoma.
Gordon, a sophomore, won the Doak Walker Award last season as the nation’s top running back. Though he considered entering the NFL Draft, he announced in December that he would return to Stillwater for another season.
Oklahoma State has not yet commented on Gordon’s arrest. The situation is still developing.
