Oklahoma City Police Arrest Chance Sanders After Stolen Car Crash with Babies

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Oklahoma City Police body camera footage captured the dramatic moment when officers arrested Chance Sanders, who allegedly stole a car and crashed it with two babies inside.

The incident occurred on May 11, 2024, when officers responded to a rollover crash near NW 23rd St. and N. Meridian Ave. Upon arrival, they discovered that the car had been stolen and that two babies were inside at the time of the crash. Witnesses were able to remove the babies from their car seats, and fortunately, they only sustained minor injuries.

After the crash, Sanders fled the scene on foot but was quickly located by officers and taken into custody.

Sanders, who had a previous conviction for robbery with a dangerous weapon, has been charged with kidnapping, larceny of auto, and leaving the scene of an accident.
