OCEAN COUNTY, N.J. — Bernard Lamont Proctor, 35, was arrested on December 1, 2024, and faces a series of serious charges related to weapons possession and drug distribution, according to inmate records from the Ocean County Correctional Facility.
Proctor is charged with multiple offenses, including:
Unlawful possession of a handgun
Possession of a weapon while committing a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) crime
Possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Multiple counts of possession of Schedule I-IV controlled substances
Distribution of heroin or cocaine under 0.5 ounces
One of the charges includes a Certain Person Not to Have Weapons offense, indicating Proctor’s prior conviction or restriction from owning firearms.
