DOVER, Del. — A Dover woman was arrested after police linked her to a burglary and theft at a Burger King early Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred around 5:28 a.m., when officers responded to a report of a burglary at the Burger King location. Authorities say 25-year-old Nydaya Bryant forced her way through the drive-thru window, entering the business and stealing money from the cash register.
Police were able to obtain a description of the suspect, and later that afternoon, at 2:00 p.m., officers located Bryant on North DuPont Highway. She was wearing the same clothes as the woman seen in the burglary surveillance footage.
Bryant was taken into custody, processed, and arraigned at the Dover Police Department. She was released on her own recognizance, facing charges of Burglary in the Third Degree and Theft of Less Than $1,500.
