Nyasia Perkins & Calvin Coley Arrested for First-Degree Murder

A Lenoir County man and a Goldsboro woman have been charged with first-degree murder following a fatal shooting on December 8, 2024. The incident occurred at a residence on Sweet Amy Lane, where authorities responded around midnight to reports of a shooting after a breaking-and-entering call.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered Quinton Gray deceased from gunshot wounds in his living room. Following an initial investigation, his death was ruled a homicide.

Detectives from the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nyasia Perkins, 26, and Calvin Coley, 29, at their places of employment in Kinston. Both individuals were taken to the Lenoir County Jail, where they were held without bond. Their first court appearance was scheduled for Thursday, January 16.

Both Perkins and Coley face charges of first-degree murder and felony conspiracy in connection to Gray’s death. The investigation is ongoing.
