Nurse Trenton Duckworth Arrested for Stealing Patient’s Credit Card

A 23-year-old nurse at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, Trenton Duckworth, was arrested after being accused of stealing a patient’s personal information for fraudulent use. Duckworth allegedly forged the signature of 65-year-old patient Charles P. Langford and wrote a $5,000 check to himself.

In addition to the forged check, Duckworth used Langford’s credit card for a series of unauthorized purchases. These included gasoline, groceries, convenience store items, and even sports betting. Police reports reveal that Duckworth admitted to the theft under questioning.

Duckworth is now facing 15 charges, including fraud, exploitation of a person over 65, and the use of a forged check. He was arrested Saturday night, and his first court appearance was scheduled for Dec. 16.

In response to the arrest, Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital released a statement expressing their commitment to patient safety, confirming they had launched an internal investigation and were cooperating fully with law enforcement.
