Noida Police Arrest Prashant Kumar Gupta for Impersonating TTE in Scam

A sophisticated scam came to light in Noida after the police arrested Prashant Kumar Gupta, a 34-year-old man accused of swindling several people by impersonating a railway employee. Gupta, who has been charged with fraud, used forged documents to deceive victims into believing he could help them secure government jobs and arms licenses.

Authorities revealed that Gupta posed as a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) and presented counterfeit IDs to gain the trust of his targets. He charged hefty sums for his supposed services, convincing victims that he could arrange government jobs or arms licenses for them.

The scam came to light when one victim reported being defrauded of Rs 71,000, while another lost Rs 1,00,000 after Gupta made false promises. Following these complaints, the police launched an investigation that uncovered the full extent of Gupta’s operations, which spanned over six months.

As additional victims came forward, leading to further complaints, Gupta was arrested and is now facing charges related to the fraudulent activities. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to identify and assist other victims potentially affected by the scam.
