Noida Police Arrest Nurjamal Sheikh & Rajkumar Vishwas in Theft Case

In a significant bust, Noida police arrested two men on Monday for allegedly targeting locked houses in the National Capital Region (NCR) and making off with valuables. The men, identified as Nurjamal Sheikh, a native of Bardhaman district in West Bengal, and Rajkumar Vishwas, from Murshidabad city in the same state, were apprehended following a police complaint filed by a Noida resident. The police recovered jewelry worth Rs1 crore and Rs1.35 lakh in cash from their possession.

The crime spree came to light after the Noida resident reported a burglary on November 13. He stated that when his family was away, two unidentified suspects broke into his home through the kitchen window and made off with Rs1.5 lakh in cash and jewelry. The investigation revealed that the two suspects had been systematically targeting locked houses in Noida and Gurugram.

On Sunday night, Noida police observed two suspects riding a motorcycle near Shashi Chowk. When asked to stop, the suspects fled towards the forest area of Sector 42 and fired shots at the police officers. In the ensuing gunfire, both suspects were injured in their legs and were later hospitalized.

Following the arrests, police confirmed that the suspects were involved in multiple thefts across Noida, including five incidents in Sector 39 and one in Sector 49. They also committed similar crimes in Gurugram, specifically in sectors 55 and 56, where three theft cases were reported. Additionally, two illegal country-made pistols and live cartridges were seized from the suspects.

The police investigation is ongoing, and authorities are continuing to track down further connections between the suspects and other unsolved burglary cases in the region.
