Noe Arrellano-Perez Faces Murder Charge in Travis County Fentanyl Case

Noe Arrellano-Perez, 21, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of 22-year-old Raymundo Silva Jr., marking Travis County’s first state-level fentanyl-related homicide case. The Travis County Sheriff’s Office announced the charges on Tuesday.

Silva was found unresponsive on August 4, 2024, at a residence on Killingsworth Lane in Pflugerville. Despite attempts at CPR, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies found a blue pill that later tested positive for fentanyl. An autopsy determined that Silva’s cause of death was the combined toxic effects of fentanyl, cocaine, ethanol, and quetiapine.

Investigators traced Arrellano-Perez to the crime by evidence placing him near Silva’s residence on the night of the death. Additionally, authorities uncovered messages between the two related to a pill delivery, leading them to identify Arrellano-Perez as the suspected supplier.

Arrellano-Perez had been in custody at the Travis County Jail since September 2, 2024, on unrelated charges. The murder charge was added after the investigation revealed his involvement in Silva’s death.
