Nitha Olarenshaw, Estranged Wife of Ricky Olarenshaw, Arrested in Bali Spa Scandal

Nitha Olarenshaw Arrested in Bali for Alleged Role in Prostitution Ring at Spa

Nitha Olarenshaw, the estranged wife of former Essendon footballer Ricky Olarenshaw, was arrested in Bali last month in connection with a massage parlor allegedly involved in prostitution. The spa, named Flame Spa and located in Seminyak, was raided by authorities, leading to the arrest of Nitha, who was listed as the spa’s commissioner. Alongside her, three other individuals—two receptionists, the spa manager, and the director—were detained.

Despite Nitha’s arrest, she has strongly denied involvement in the illegal activities. Through her lawyer, she claimed that Flame Spa belonged to her estranged husband, Ricky, and she felt manipulated in managing the business, which she asserts only provided “sensual massage services.” Prostitution is illegal in Bali, and the spa’s motto, promising an “erotic experience,” has raised concerns.

Nitha further stated that the business was listed under her name due to foreign ownership laws in Bali, which prohibit foreigners from directly owning businesses. She alleges that it was a common practice for men to use their wives’ names to circumvent these regulations.

The spa’s scandalous activities came to light following a police raid, which led to several arrests. Nitha’s involvement has made headlines, and she now faces a potential lengthy jail sentence if convicted.

Ricky Olarenshaw, who has a daughter with Nitha, has not been linked to the spa’s operations. He and Nitha separated earlier this year, and he is reportedly unaware of the alleged criminal activities. Since retiring from football, Ricky has established a successful business career in Bali, owning three F45 gyms and becoming a well-known figure for hosting lavish parties.
