Nigerian National Peter Ikedi Belonwu Arrested in Bengaluru for Drug Trafficking

Police Seize 6.310 kg of Synthetic MDMA Worth ₹6 Crore in Major Bust

Peter Ikedi Belonwu, a 38-year-old Nigerian national, was arrested by the Mangaluru police in Bengaluru for allegedly trafficking synthetic MDMA, a dangerous narcotic drug. The police recovered a staggering 6.310 kg of the substance, which is valued at ₹6 crore.

Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal shared with reporters on October 7 that this marked the largest drug seizure made by the city police under the ongoing anti-drugs campaign. Agrawal also highlighted that this bust is the second largest drug seizure conducted by the State police in recent times.

The authorities have hailed the operation as a significant success in the state’s continuous efforts to combat the growing menace of illegal drugs.
