Nigerian National Arrested for Drug Peddling in Goa

In a significant breakthrough, Mangaluru City Police, in collaboration with Goa authorities, arrested a 44-year-old Nigerian national, Michael Okafar Odikpo, for his alleged involvement in drug peddling. The arrest occurred in the Calangute area of Goa, where Odikpo was staying in a room at Soilim in North Goa.

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) officials have stated that Odikpo, originally from Lagos, Nigeria, was suspected of being part of a larger drug trafficking operation. The authorities are currently investigating his connections and possible involvement with drug networks operating in the region.

The police have not yet revealed the quantity or type of drugs found in his possession but emphasized that this arrest forms part of a broader crackdown on illegal drug trafficking in the area. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
