CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. (WPVI) – Two suspects, Nichole Pride and Linwood Carlton Farmer, were arrested in connection to a series of wallet thefts at local restaurants in Conshohocken. The pair was accused of stealing wallets from women enjoying meals, then attempting to use the stolen credit cards.
According to Conshohocken Police, the suspects targeted women who left their purses on hooks or tables while they ate. They then quietly removed wallets and tried to use the cards in nearby areas, including King of Prussia. However, they were unsuccessful in their attempts.
Local businesses provided crucial surveillance footage that helped investigators crack the case. The video revealed the suspects discreetly taking wallets or entire purses, and in some instances, using the bar menus to cover their actions.
“Used the menu at the bar to cover up their activities when they were taking wallets out of purses,” said David Lennon, Chief of Conshohocken Police.
The first reported theft occurred on November 13, 2024, at The Great American Pub on Fayette Street. A woman reported that her wallet had gone missing when it was time to pay the bill. On February 13, 2025, another theft was reported at Hook and Ladder, where stolen credit cards were also used unsuccessfully.
Both suspects, residents of Philadelphia, have been arrested and are being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility. Their criminal activity has been linked to several other incidents in Montgomery and Bucks counties, as well as New Jersey. They are also suspects in thefts in Tredyffrin, West Whiteland, Quakertown, Bensalem, Horsham, Lower Merion, Plymouth Township, Upper Dublin, Upper Merion, and Maple Shade, NJ.
“It’s a shame, but I mean that’s the world we live in today,” said Guy Clauson, Executive Chef at Great American Pub.
Local residents expressed their shock at the crimes. “I was surprised to hear it. We live in town here, it’s been a great family town, haven’t seen much signs of crime,” said Bill Bartman, a Conshohocken resident.
