Nhuchhe Bahadur Maharjan Arrested for Embezzling Funds

Kathmandu, Dec 23: Nhuchhe Bahadur Maharjan, the Ward Chair of Chandragiri Municipality-12, has been arrested on charges of embezzling cooperative funds. The arrest occurred today, following an investigation into his alleged involvement in the misappropriation of funds from Hariyali Savings and Credit Cooperatives, based in Thamel.

Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Adhikari, the spokesperson for the District Police Range Kathmandu, confirmed the detention of the local government representative. Maharjan is accused of being part of the scheme that resulted in the fraudulent diversion of funds from the cooperative.
