HERSHEY, PA — A 63-year-old New York man, identified as the suspected Hersheypark Slasher, has been arrested after allegedly slashing a victim’s face during a theft at a Hershey area parking lot. However, his Jersey City partner remains on the run.
Williams, accused of being the man caught rummaging through a car, allegedly slashed the victim’s face with a knife after being confronted by the car’s owner and their family. He fled the scene with the victim’s credit card, police said. The woman involved in the crime, Isabel Marie Santos, 44, from Jersey City, NJ, is accused of using the stolen credit cards to make over $5,600 in purchases at a Target in Bucks County, according to Derry Township police.
Williams was arrested on Sept. 17, 2024, by Derry Township Police officer Jason Rode after being wanted on a warrant. He faces the following charges:
Robbery with serious bodily injury
Aggravated assault
Theft from a motor vehicle
Criminal conspiracy (theft from a motor vehicle)
Unauthorized use of an access device
Criminal use of communication facility
Theft by unlawful taking
Williams has been held in the Dauphin County Prison, with bail denied during his preliminary arraignment. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 8, 2024.
Williams and Santos are suspected of using the stolen credit cards to make purchases at Chocolate World, Hersheypark, and other local businesses.
Santos, who is still at large, faces 46 charges, including conspiracy, theft, and access device fraud.
