Nenad Milosevich Charged with Murder Over $20K Rolex Theft

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – A Florida man, Nenad Milosevich, 56, has been charged with murder following the killing of 73-year-old jeweler Anthony D’Amore over a $20,000 Rolex watch Milosevich intended to give to his girlfriend for Christmas.

The events surrounding the crime began on December 23, 2023, when Fort Lauderdale police were called to perform a welfare check on D’Amore. Officers discovered the body of D’Amore inside a jewelry business located at 6245 N. Federal Highway. The building manager had to force open Suite 323, where they found D’Amore dead on the floor.

Surveillance footage revealed that D’Amore had arrived at the business on December 20 with Milosevich. However, Milosevich was the only person seen leaving the suite two hours and 42 minutes later, carrying a small bag and large items covered in a towel. Police later discovered that Milosevich had taken jewelry and a video recorder from the suite.

An autopsy confirmed that D’Amore had suffered bruises on his neck, back, and head, indicating violent trauma. During questioning at the police station, Milosevich allegedly confessed to the crime. He claimed that after an argument over the Rolex watch payment, he had struck D’Amore and choked him. Milosevich stated that the victim didn’t defend himself during the altercation.

After killing D’Amore, Milosevich allegedly bagged around 20 pieces of jewelry and took the items in his Dodge Ram pickup truck. He later discarded the stolen items off a bridge into the water.

Milosevich has been held without bond at the Broward Sheriff’s Office jail and faces charges of first-degree murder and other crimes. Authorities are continuing to investigate the case.
