A 43-year-old man, Nathan Gingles, is facing three counts of first-degree murder after a deadly shooting spree in Tamarac, Florida. Deputies responded to a shooting incident early Sunday morning, discovering 64-year-old David Pozner dead from a gunshot wound on the back patio of a residence at 5897 North Plum Bay Parkway.
Upon investigating, Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) officers learned that Gingles’ estranged wife, 34-year-old Mary Gingles, and their 4-year-old daughter, Seraphina, were missing, leading authorities to suspect that Nathan Gingles had taken them. An AMBER Alert was issued across Broward County to locate the mother and daughter.
The investigation led deputies to locate Seraphina safe and unharmed in Nathan’s BMW at 7900 West McNab Road in North Lauderdale at 11 a.m. However, a grim discovery was made later in the day when BSO confirmed that Mary Gingles had been shot and killed at a home across the street on 5888 North Plum Bay Parkway. In the same home, another victim, 36-year-old Andrew Ferrin, was found murdered.
Authorities later recovered a firearm in a nearby canal believed to be the weapon used in the crimes. Nathan Gingles was arrested and charged with three counts of first-degree murder with a firearm, violation of a domestic violence injunction, and interference with custody. He was taken into custody at the BSO Public Safety Building.
The investigation into this tragic series of events is ongoing.
