Nagpur Police Arrest Four for Rs 3 Lakh Robbery and Vehicle Theft

n a significant breakthrough, Nagpur Police arrested four men involved in a robbery and vehicle theft following an incident on 21st January 2025. The victim, Babnarao Sitaram Magarde, a 62-year-old man, was riding his moped between Dighori and Umred Road around 2:00 PM when two men on a motorcycle snatched a bag containing Rs3 lakh and fled the scene.

Upon receiving the complaint, the police registered a case and swiftly set up a trap near KDK College Road. The suspects were apprehended, and they were identified as Vasudev Mohanlal Nat (45), Somkumar Shivprasad Nat (35), Dharmendra Mohanlal Mina (40), and Savan Kumar Nehrulal Nat (29), all residents of Chhattisgarh.

During questioning, the suspects admitted to the robbery and also confessed to an attempted robbery in Nandanvan and a theft in Savner. Additionally, they revealed involvement in two vehicle thefts in Chhattisgarh.

The police managed to recover several items from the suspects, including four mobile phones, two motorcycles, two helmets, and Rs3.18 lakh in cash, bringing the total value of the recovered goods to approximately Rs4.83 lakh.

The operation was led by senior police officials, and the suspects remain in custody as further investigations are underway to uncover more details of their criminal activities.
