Myrtle Beach Man Pleads Guilty in 2023 Drug Trafficking Case

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — A 50-year-old Myrtle Beach man, Jarrell Grant, pled guilty in connection with a 2023 drug trafficking case following a search of his home.

During the search, officers discovered packaged heroin, crack cocaine, cocaine, and a firearm, which Grant is prohibited from possessing due to his prior felony conviction. After the search, officers attempted to pull over Grant’s vehicle, but he fled on foot before being apprehended.

Grant, who has a prior cocaine trafficking conviction, was charged with multiple offenses, including trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and failure to stop for a blue light. Deputy Solicitor Jimmy Richardson confirmed the charges.
