Myanmar National Arrested with Heroin Worth Rs 82.5 Lakh in Champha

In a major drug bust on February 3, Assam Rifles intercepted a Myanmar national, Thangdeihpau, in Zokhawthar, a border town in Champhai district, seizing heroin worth Rs 82.5 lakh. The suspect, 56, was riding a motorcycle when he was detained, and 10 hongs of heroin No. 4 were recovered from his possession. Thangdeihpau was handed over to local police for further investigation, as security forces continue their efforts to combat cross-border drug trafficking.
