BELLAIRE — Multiple arrests were made Monday as part of a law enforcement operation on Monroe Street in Bellaire. Authorities executed two search warrants at the addresses 3416 and 3408 Monroe Street, resulting in significant drug-related seizures.
During the investigation, detectives uncovered over $4,000 in cash suspected to be tied to drug activity, along with 61 grams of suspected fentanyl, 13 grams of suspected crack cocaine, and over 40 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
The property at 3408 Monroe Street has been the subject of several previous investigations and search warrants. Authorities reported that individuals associated with this address are currently serving time for drug-related and other charges.
The ongoing investigation led to the arrest of several suspects. Tanner Weekley, 25, was arrested for possessing criminal tools and felony counts of fentanyl and crack cocaine possession, along with felony trafficking of crack cocaine. The prosecutor’s office is expected to seek additional charges of child endangerment, as a juvenile was present during the arrest.
Richard Lee Lynn, 36, was taken into custody on charges of possessing criminal tools and trafficking methamphetamine.
Waneta Leasure, 51, was arrested and charged with obstructing official business.
Law enforcement has indicated that additional suspects who were not present at the scene will likely face drug trafficking charges.
