Mt. Juliet Man Arrested for Stealing Donut, Found with Drugs

MT. JULIET (WZTV) — A bizarre theft at a Walmart in Mt. Juliet led to the arrest of a 44-year-old Nashville man, initially accused of stealing a donut. When officers responded to the scene, they quickly located the suspect, whose actions led to a much more serious discovery.

Upon further investigation, authorities found the man in possession of a “large amount of suspected fentanyl intended for resale” and methamphetamine. The suspect is now being held in the Wilson County Jail on charges related to drug possession, as well as the theft.

The case highlights the growing issue of fentanyl trafficking, with the suspect’s drug possession being linked to the resale market.
