Ms. Thanyanan Arrested for Online Gambling Operation

Ms. Thanyanan was among seven repeat offenders found during the raid. She was previously arrested on July 30, 2023, for running online gambling sites, a case that also implicated eight senior police officials, including a close aide of former deputy police chief Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn.

Legal Action & Bail Denial
All 10 suspects face charges for:

Operating illegal gambling businesses
Advertising and inviting others to gamble online
Money laundering
Police objected to granting bail due to their repeat offenses. Ms. Thanyanan requested to submit her statement in writing instead of speaking to authorities. When asked by reporters if she had contacted any senior police officials for assistance, she simply replied, “No.”

More Arrests to Follow
Authorities have also issued arrest warrants for 23 more individuals, including suspected executives, mule account holders, and beneficiaries of the illegal gambling networks. The crackdown on online gambling continues as law enforcement pursues those involved in digital financial crimes.
