MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) — A contract security guard working for the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) has been arrested on multiple drug charges, according to authorities.
Cherrilian Phelisa Daisey Ramirez was taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with:
Possession of controlled substances
Second-degree possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia
At the time of her arrest, Ramirez was employed by Allied Security, a private security firm contracted by ADOC.
Investigators reported that the contraband included 3.6 gross grams of marijuana, 60 THC-infused gummies, and other unspecified drug paraphernalia.
Ramirez is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail on a $20,000 bond as she awaits a court hearing. Officials stated that the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be pending.
