Mohammed Hafeez Arrested in Mangaluru Drug Bust, Rs 30 Lakh Hydro Weed Seized

In a major drug bust aimed at making Mangaluru “drug-free,” the Central Crime Branch (CCB) police arrested Mohammed Hafeez H (23), a man accused of supplying hydro weed and ganja from overseas to the city. Hafeez, a resident of Haradi in Puttur taluk, currently living in Thokkottu, was taken into custody following a tip-off about his involvement in an international narcotics network.

The CCB police, under the leadership of Commissioner Anupam Agrawal, raided the Kudroli area of Mangaluru, where the suspect was allegedly selling high-value banned substances. During the operation, the police seized 300 grams of hydro weed valued at Rs 30 lakh, 2.5 kg of ganja worth Rs 75,000, a mobile phone, and a digital weighing scale. The total value of the recovered assets is estimated at Rs 30,85,500.

According to initial investigations, the hydro weed and ganja were sourced from Thailand and sold to the public and students in Mangaluru. The police suspect a larger network of individuals involved in the illegal trafficking of narcotics.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal, with support from Deputy Commissioners of Police Siddharth Goyal and B P Dinesh Kumar. The CCB team, led by ACP Manoj Kumar Naik, Police Inspector Shyam Sundar H M, and PSI Sharanappa Bhandari, was instrumental in executing the successful raid.
