Mohamid Ali Charged with Elderly Exploitation, Theft in Irving

Mohamid Ali, 25, was arrested and charged with theft and exploitation of an elderly person after Irving police received a tip from a victim of a scam in progress. According to Irving police, Ali is accused of targeting elderly individuals in scams across the nation. Police had posted a video of Ali in a convenience store on Oct. 16, 2024, asking the public to help identify him. Following this, another victim notified the police of an ongoing scam involving Ali, leading to his arrest.

Ali faces charges of theft exceeding $2,500 and exploitation of a child/elderly person. He is currently held in Dallas County jail as the investigation continues.
