Milton Keynes Man Jailed for Over 5 Years for Drug Dealing

MILTON KEYNES, UK – Jerushan Vasavthan, aged 24, of Stantonbury, Milton Keynes, has been sentenced to five years and seven months in prison for drug dealing after a successful investigation by Thames Valley Police.

On February 6, 2025, Vasavthan appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including possession of cannabis, being in charge of a vehicle while under the influence of drugs, and possession with intent to supply cocaine and heroin.

The incident occurred on October 1, 2024, when officers responded to reports of a strong smell of cannabis coming from a vehicle in a car park in Stantonbury. Upon arriving, officers found Vasavthan sitting in the car with the engine running and the overpowering odor of cannabis.

Following his arrest, police found nearly 100 wraps of cocaine and heroin on his person while he was in custody. The proactive actions of the roads policing unit, alongside the Milton Keynes CID, resulted in the successful prosecution of Vasavthan.

Sergeant Tyrone Powell of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit emphasized the importance of removing individuals like Vasavthan from the roads, stating, “His actions could have had disastrous consequences for other motorists. We will continue to work hard to bring drug dealers to justice and keep our communities safe.”

Milton Keynes CID’s work ensured that another drug dealer was taken off the streets, with the police urging the public to continue providing valuable intelligence to support such investigations.
