LaPorte County, Ind. (WSBT) — A LaPorte woman was arrested on Sunday evening after crashing a stolen vehicle while nude. Authorities responded to a call on Greenlawn Drive just after 6 p.m., where a homeowner reported an unfamiliar woman in the house, taking a shower.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that 37-year-old Michelle Reeves had stolen a car from a nearby driveway while it was idling. Shortly after, she crashed the vehicle into a basketball hoop and a tree.
Reeves was apprehended when she exited the shower and is now facing several charges, including theft, unauthorized entry of a vehicle used in a crime, criminal mischief, and public nudity. The incident remains under investigation.
