PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) — A Bethel man is behind bars after being arrested on serious child sexual exploitation charges.
Deputies with the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Vann-Torres, 35, on Friday following an investigation that revealed he had received explicit images of young children via social media, according to arrest warrants.
Vann-Torres is charged with four counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The victims, according to the warrants, were approximately 6 and 13 years old.
Authorities transported Vann-Torres to the Pitt County Jail, where he is being held on a $300,000 bond.
