Michael Ruthersford Arrested for Theft and Weapons Charges in Sonora

In Sonora, CA, a 39-year-old Tuolumne man, Michael Ruthersford, was arrested for theft and weapons possession after being caught loading stolen items into his pickup truck. The incident occurred just after midnight behind the Big O Tires store on Mono Way.

Sonora Police officers noticed Ruthersford loading tires into his truck bed and quickly identified a concealed fixed-blade knife in his waistline. Following this discovery, officers conducted a patdown, uncovering another fixed-blade knife in his rear pant pocket.

Ruthersford now faces charges for felony carrying a dirk or dagger and misdemeanor theft.
