Michael Dusch Arrested for Multi-State Crimes, Murder Charge

A 29-year-old North Carolina man, Michael Thomas Dusch, has been arrested in Denton, Texas, following a multi-state investigation involving Georgia, Arkansas, and North Carolina.

He is connected to the murder of David J. Stewart in Georgia and may face additional charges as the investigation continues.

Captured During Texas Traffic Stop
Dusch was already wanted in North Carolina for child pornography and identity theft when he was stopped in a stolen vehicle in Denton, Texas. Items found during the stop linked him to the Georgia murder case, leading to his arrest.

Ties to Arkansas Investigation
Authorities also believe Dusch is involved in a separate crime in Arkansas, which remains under investigation.

Awaiting Extradition to Georgia
Dusch is currently awaiting extradition to Georgia to face charges. Law enforcement agencies—including the Oglethorpe County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Arkansas State Police, and Denton Texas Police Department—played a crucial role in his capture.
