Miami Police Arrest Victor Fernandez for Robbery and Assault

The Miami Police Department announced on Saturday the arrest of 33-year-old Victor Fernandez, who is accused of injuring an officer during his capture. Interim Police Chief Manny Morales expressed gratitude for the community’s assistance in locating Fernandez.

The incident unfolded when officers attempted to stop Fernandez at 4100 West Flagler Street. Fernandez, who was wanted for a robbery that took place on Thursday at NE 3rd Court and 55th Street, allegedly attacked the officer physically during the arrest. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the robbery and the circumstances surrounding the officer’s injuries.
