MIAMI, FL – Timothy Lamon Herderson, a 34-year-old Miami man with three prior convictions for retail theft, has been arrested again in connection with at least six new theft cases. Authorities charged him with multiple counts of petty theft, grand theft, and trespassing after warning.
Herderson, who had previous theft convictions in 2009, 2011, and a probation sentence in 2023, was linked to several thefts, mainly at Bath & Body Works stores. Police reports show he was already known to both law enforcement and store employees for his past crimes.
The recent theft spree began on May 3, 2023, when Herderson allegedly stole candles and fragrances worth $295.40 from a Bath & Body Works store at 3401 N. Miami Avenue. The following day, he returned to the same location and stole eight candles valued at $215.60.
Herderson’s thefts continued into June and July. On June 1, he allegedly took candles and car fragrances worth $725.85 from a Bath & Body Works store at 401 Biscayne Boulevard. On July 10, he returned to the store at 3401 N. Miami Avenue and took 12 candles, totaling $323.40.
In late July, Herderson also targeted Children’s Place stores. On July 25, he stole several school uniform items worth $2,452 from the Children’s Place Outlet at Dolphin Mall. Then, on July 31, he allegedly stole $498.08 worth of clothing from the Children’s Place at Miami International Mall.
Despite being caught on camera, store employees hadn’t previously reported Herderson’s small thefts. However, after the latest crimes, he was arrested and booked into a Miami-Dade jail.
Herderson is facing serious charges and is being held on an out-of-county warrant. As of now, no attorney information is available for him.
