The Merritt RCMP provided this photo of Ron Karlson, saying there is a warrant out for his arrest. A man who had been on the run since June was arrested by the Merritt RCMP on Thursday after being deemed “armed and dangerous.”

Ron Karlson, 37, had been wanted for failing to comply with his probation and release order. The RCMP had issued a public appeal for his whereabouts in early June, urging the public to come forward with any information. Despite the extensive search, Karlson was not located until Thursday.

In their earlier appeal, police had warned that Karlson should be considered dangerous, emphasizing the severity of the situation. The arrest comes after months of investigative efforts by the RCMP. More details about the arrest have not yet been released.
