Memphis Doctor Charged with TennCare Fraud, Stealing Over $10K

Memphis, Tenn. – Dr. Rande Lazar, a Memphis ear, nose, and throat specialist, has been indicted for allegedly stealing more than $10,000 from TennCare, Tennessee’s Medicaid program.

The indictment accuses Dr. Lazar of illegally obtaining between $10,000 and $60,000 through TennCare fraud. Court records indicate that this fraudulent activity took place over a period of five years, from December 2017 to November 2022.

Dr. Lazar faces charges of theft of property and TennCare fraud, both of which involve sums ranging from $10,000 to $60,000.

He was released from custody on Friday, after posting a $35,000 bond.
