Cambridge Police have successfully apprehended 44-year-old Melvin Nalley in Pennsylvania on Thursday. Nalley was arrested at the Lebanon County Detention Center in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, under an active arrest warrant issued by Dorchester County District Court.
The warrant stems from an investigation that began in February of this year, when officers responded to a fraud report at Summit Community Bank. Nalley had attempted to complete a transaction at the bank, presenting what appeared to be a Delaware driver’s license. However, when bank employees discovered the ID was fake, Nalley fled the scene on foot.
Following further investigation, police identified Nalley as the suspect, and multiple warrants were issued for his arrest. He now faces charges including attempted credit card fraud with a false ID, fraud involving ID information theft (ranging from $100 to under $1,500), possession or use of a false government ID, and attempted theft under $100.
Nalley was held without bond following his arrest. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident, and additional charges may follow.
