Megan Quattrin Arrested for Resisting Police in Marquette

MARQUETTE, MI – 36-year-old Megan Quattrin of Marquette was arrested on charges of resisting and obstructing a police officer on Saturday, after a Michigan State Police trooper located her and a reported stolen vehicle at the TJ Maxx parking lot.

The trooper had been investigating a stolen vehicle from Alger County and had identified Quattrin as a suspect in the case. As the trooper approached the vehicle, Quattrin exited and attempted to walk away. Despite multiple verbal commands to stop, Quattrin ignored the officer and continued walking towards the store before re-approaching the vehicle and trying to re-enter the driver’s seat.

When the trooper intervened to prevent Quattrin from entering the vehicle, she physically resisted arrest but was eventually subdued and taken into custody. She was transported to the Marquette County Jail and arraigned on Monday. Her bond was set at $500, and she is due in court again on January 23, 2025.

The motor vehicle theft case is being reviewed by the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office.
