A medical store operator was among four individuals arrested in Indore on Thursday for their involvement in the illicit narcotics trade. According to Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya, police acted on a tip-off and arrested the suspects while seizing 1,365 Alprazolam tablets and a scooter used in their operations.
The accused were found purchasing narcotics at lower prices and reselling them to local youths at inflated prices, ranging from five to ten times higher. Crime branch officials had been monitoring the suspects for some time. During an operation, the police were patrolling near Chaitanya Hanuman Temple in Rajkumar vegetable market when they spotted three individuals on a black scooter.
As the police approached, the suspects attempted to flee but were quickly apprehended. Farhan Qureshi (26) from Chandan Nagar, Mohammad Ali (25), and Mohammad Hussain (20), both residents of Sadar Bazaar, were arrested under relevant narcotics-related sections. Upon questioning, the suspects failed to produce any legal documentation for the drugs found in their possession.
