McCracken County Man Arrested on Meth Trafficking Charges

A McCracken County man was arrested on meth trafficking charges following a traffic stop on Wednesday night. Deputies pulled over 56-year-old Ronnie Churchwell for traffic violations. During the stop, authorities discovered that Churchwell had outstanding warrants for bail jumping and detained him.

A search of Churchwell’s vehicle revealed marijuana and crystal meth. Deputies also found a large amount of cash on his person, which they believe was tied to illicit drug sales.

Churchwell was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail on several charges, including 2nd-degree meth trafficking (subsequent offense), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. At the time of his arrest, Churchwell was out on bond for a previous charge of possessing a firearm as a felon.
