Carson City, NV – February 14, 2025 – Matthew Alexander Mann, 30, has been arrested following an investigation into a domestic disturbance and attempted robbery. On February 10, deputies responded to a report from a victim who identified Mann, her ex-boyfriend, as the suspect. The victim revealed that she had an active protection order against him.
According to the victim, Mann approached her near her vehicle, opening the driver’s side door and physically moving her into the space between the door and the driver’s seat. He also attempted to steal her purse but was unsuccessful. Deputies found video footage from the area confirming the victim’s account.
Following the disturbance, Carson City Sheriff’s Office Detectives issued a warrant for Mann’s arrest on charges of attempted robbery, false imprisonment, domestic battery, and violation of a temporary protection order.
On February 13, the victim reported that Mann had contacted her by phone, threatening to shoot her for speaking with law enforcement and asking if she planned to testify against him in court.
The detectives traced Mann to a residence in Reno, Nevada, where he was arrested on February 14. He is currently being held at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Jail on a $100,000 bond. His charges include:
