Mastermind of CBI Impersonation Gang Arrested in New Delhi

The mastermind behind a gang that impersonated CBI officials and embezzled crores has been arrested in New Delhi. Prince Prakash, a 24-year-old native of Bihar, was apprehended by Ernakulam Central Police SI Anoop Chacko and his team.

Prince was responsible for organizing and managing bank accounts for the fake CBI team, facilitating the conversion of fraudulently obtained money into cryptocurrency. For each transaction, he received substantial sums, which he used to support a lavish lifestyle. During police questioning, Prince claimed to be a doctor and stated that all members of the fraudulent CBI team were North Indians.

The gang employed threatening tactics, warning individuals of virtual arrests unless they made payments to avoid prosecution. The extorted funds were then deposited into accounts set up by Prince.

He was arrested while being investigated for a case involving the cheating ofRs30 lakhs in Ernakulam. Prior to his arrest, 14 other individuals had already been taken into custody in connection with this case. Additionally, there has been a recent attempt to extort money from music director Jerry Amaldev, and authorities are examining whether Prince has any links to that incident.
